Hi Team,

I have one netbackup master server and one media server.

In order to get the backup failure alert on third party monitoring tool "HP Sitescope",  what are the steps required from netbackup end ?

Hi Brits,

Generic options are email or SNMP trap. In OpsCenter go t o overview->Alert Policies at left-buttom of the page and folow the steps.

Also if by any chance you are using SCOM or HP OpenView, they have specific agents in 7.6.1

Correct link:

Sitescope is not suported out of the box, you will need to intergate it yourself using SNMP or email.

OpsCenter is free in basic version with full alerting functionality. Analytics version comes with a price in standard licensing model, it has enhanced reporting capabilities. You you have capacity based licensed Analytics is included in there.

from this link , I can see where I can find the MIB's. But the question is how to use it or integrate it to site-scope to get the SNMP alerts.

That is more of Sitescope question, than OpsCenter one. Alerts are configured through Alert Policies, as destination you will need to choose your Sitescope server. Rest are Sitescope configuration.
