Installing opscenter 8.2 on a windows 2016

DoubleP
Level 5

We have Opscenter 8.0 installed on a 2008 windows server. Due to a company directive, we have to decomm our windows 2008 servers in the very near future (in the next few weeks). We are also in the planning stages for upgrading our NB environment from 8.0 to 8.2 (also in the next few weeks). Therefore, we plan on installing Opscenter 8.2 on our new 2016 client. So, basically a fresh install, without migrating the 8.0 version to the new box first (due to the amount of time--or lack theeof- that we have). My team is fairly new (about 2 years). None of us were around when opscenter was initially set up on the 2008 server by a storage engineering team, which no longer exists.. Do you recommend us having veritas support walk us through the new installation, or is the documentation clear and detailed enough for us to do it from scratch?

It's very simple. Just make sure to add a dedicated drive for opscenter, run the installer, point it at the dedicated drive, and add your license. Once its installed, log in and add the master server, set up your users, alerts notifications, reports and schedules.

Yes, it was easy.
