OpsCenter 7.5.0.6 causing 100% CPU all the time

Hi all,

I have a Windows 2008 server, quad core CPU with 10 GB of RAM running Symantec Ops Center 7.5.0.6

The CPU on this machine is 100% all the time, i search for resolution but I have not found any.

I read a Symantec article that claims there was a fix in 7.5.0.6 which I installed but did not solve the issue.

any help is appreciated

Thanks

Hi,

10GB of RAM when you consider how much the OS needs is not really enough. The smallest amount of RAM we recommend is 16GB for the OC server and 32GB is much better.

How many jobs per day are you seeing from your Masters?

Have you followed the recommendation for cache tuning in the manual?

7.5.0.6 did have a number of improvements in performance but if your environment is undersized those performance options wont do you any good.

Cheers,

dave
