Opscenter 7.1.04 SQL DB backup reports

Has anyone been able to generate a report on SQL DBs or transaction logs that have failed to backup? I have alerts but I would like to know what is the name of the instance that failed. I see that the following has been added into 7.1 but not sure where to find it:

 

"A new Report On parameter called Backup Job Database Instance Name is available when you edit custom reports. Using the BackupJob Database

InstanceName parameter, you can view data for a specific MS-SQL database instance in a custom report."

Can you provide a source for that information?

 

  • "A new Report On parameter called Backup Job Database Instance Name is available when you edit custom reports. Using the BackupJob Database
  • InstanceName parameter, you can view data for a specific MS-SQL database instance in a custom report.

However, you can add Job Directory to the custom report and have it show you the file list.

If your SQL Jobs are multi-streamed, it should show you the job failed and which database it failed on.
