Opscenter 8.0 [Error occurred while connecting to the OpsCenter Server]

Hello everyone ,

I meet some strange issues when I try to install OpsCenter 8.0 on new servers. To summarize, I want to perform a new installation on new server (RHEL 7.3, 64bits). The installation seems to be good.

-OpsCenter installed in /opt

-Database installed in /usr/openv

However, after my installation I have this message "Veritas NetBackup OpsCenter installation is successful. You can access Veritas NetBackup OpsCenter from the web browser by using the following URL: xxxxxxxx"

So after that, i'm often unable to connect to the web browser. Only one or two times I was able to connect, but after upgrade of my old database I have the error "Error occurred while connecting to the OpsCenter Server. Please ensure that the server is running." And after an uninstall and reinstall I always have this error. However, services are running and ports opened.

Release note indicates that "login may fail on UNIX if a restore directory was provided while restoring the database that resides at a non-default location". But even before an upgrade I cannot connect anymore.

In /opt/SYMCOpsCenterServer/logs/58330-148*.log I can see folowing messages :

Is there any symlink between your /opt & /usr/openv?  Things like /opt/openv is linked to /usr/openv, this is quite common when comes to NBU installation.

Probably best to look at the Opscenter DB logs in /opt/SYMCOpsCenterServer/db/log/dbserver.log
