VBR services monitoring

I need to know which services need to be running on a VBR server in order to get alert if something doesnt't work. I use VBR version 6.5.1.1
On the administration manual I found the list of serives to startup or shutdown but I can't find some of them on VBR server

Services found on server:
Veritas Backup Reporter Management Server
Symantec Web Server
Symantec Product Authentication Service
Symantec Private Branch Exchange
Adaptive Server Anywhere (Sybase ASA)

Services not found on server:
Veritas Backup Reporter Common Login Service
VERITAS Automation Server
VERITAS Alert Manager

I think I remember several services getting set to no longer be automatic a few versions ago, including the Alert Manager. They may have removed them entirely with the latest update.

Easy enough to test - set up an alert that should trigger quickly (i.e. failed backup job), and see if you receive it. If so, you're golden. =) If not, I'd call support and ask them where your services got to and how to get them back.
