Can Service Providers continue to offer solutions to ever increasing complex customer problems?

Chris-A
Level 1

The problems facing customers are quite different to those of a decade ago. The importance and massive growth of data has increased exponentially and will continue to do so. A study by IDC titled Data Age 2025 predicts that worldwide data creation will grow to an enormous 163 zettabytes (ZB) by 2025. That’s ten times the amount of data produced in 2017.    Many organisations have only come to terms with this recently and are looking for solutions to cater for it, both for accessing and interrogating this data, but also for keeping it secure.

Customers will be turning to their existing vendors and suppliers for solutions, but many are not able to offer a turnkey solution at the moment. They may currently offer pieces of the puzzle but will probably need to broaden their portfolio and business delivery models to be successful. By this I mean attract more customers, retain current customers, as well as increase revenue and margins both now and for the future.

Veritas have long seen the importance of collaborating with other complimentary vendors and technologies, and in the current data-rich world, this is even more critical than ever before.  We are currently working with Microsoft and Pure Storage to look at ways for our Service Provider partners to offer a joined up As-A-Service portfolio to their customers. Read more about our partnership with Pure Storage here.

The three companies will be delivering a joint presentation at the Canalys Channels Forum in Barcelona. This event takes place between 15th and 17th October and is the largest independent channels event in EMEA. It attracts over 1000 attendees from across more than 35 countries and has an audience of which over 85% are decision makers.

The events bring together major technology vendors, distributors and resellers to discuss industry trends, forge new business relationships and create sales opportunities. The emphasis is on high-quality content, top-level speakers and innovative ideas and platforms, and that has enabled Canalys to grow and become the world's largest independent IT channel events.

The Veritas theatre will be hosted by Jamie Farrelly, our VP of Channels for EMEA. He will be joined on stage by Christian Fuhrmann – Head of the EMEA alliances team at Pure Storage, as well as Mark Rice – General Manager, Service Partners at Microsoft. It promises to be an interesting and interactive session and will hopefully give current and potential new Service Provider partners food for thought in terms of bringing added value to their customers and prospects.
