Earlier this month I had the privilege to present on behalf of Veritas at Softchoice’s annual Launch event in Toronto. As a key Veritas partner who offers a range of leading IT solutions throughout North America, Softchoice combines extensive technical expertise and value-added services with a strong “customer first” approach, which is why they are such a natural partner for Veritas.
The Softchoice Launch event in Toronto included a large audience of Softchoice sales and value-added services teams as well as partners like Veritas. We had a prominent exhibit area where we highlighted some of our latest solutions for data protection, information insight, cloud adoption/migration, business continuity, and data governance and compliance. The exhibit was heavily attended throughout the multiple days of the event, with plenty of informative exchanges between our Veritas staffers and Softchoice team members and other partners.
On Day 3 of the event I delivered a 15-minute talk on how, given the explosive growth of unstructured data, Softchoice with Veritas can help their customers to better visualize, understand, protect, and manage their most precious commodity – their data. The Softchoice audience learned that by using Veritas Information Map as a key tool within their TechCheck Assessment service, they can use Veritas NetBackup to guide their customers in turning their data into an optimally-used competitive asset.
I’d like to thank both Softchoice and the “local” (Toronto and Montreal) Veritas field team – Benoit Lesperance, Jeremy Snow, Nathalie Bourdeau, Simon Robinson, and Lawrence Alexander – for their hospitality and support during my visit. As with any trip to see partners and customers in the field, I am sure I benefited far more than my field colleagues. And best of all, I truly appreciated the opportunity to help move our business forward with Softchoice!
