Data Masking With Veritas Velocity
Data Security is of lot of concern for any organization and it is important that data is protected from inside as well as outside threats. Veritas Velocity along with provisioning multiple virtual copies within minutes to sandbox users also allows you to mask the data to prevent this threat.
When the processed data is accessed by the respective teams the information is hidden which they should not have access to. When the admin creates the DB source within Velocity UI they have the option of “Enabling Copy Preparation” and when the DB is ingested the DBA’s can then hide the information by running scripts to mask the sensitive information and then that copy can be provisioned to the test/dev team for analytics, testing and development.
