Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option, the user centric backup solution that provides flexible implementation and centralized administration for backup and recovery of Windows and Mac desktops and laptops in the organization, has made its latest version -- 9.8 available.
Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option 9.8 provides key capabilities and usability enhancements with this release.
The 9.8 release provides support for NetBackup Flex appliance as a Storage Device. DLO also provides the administrators with the ability to Identify and Auto delete Users from Console who are disabled in the Active Directory and ensures that the storage space is freed up. This release also provides the VxUpdate Enhancements that automatically notifies administrators when a patch or component update is available and the SSL Certificate Validity Alert – that updates the administrator, whenever the SSL certificate is about to expire or expired
In addition to above this version includes the Wildcard Certificate support for Backup Over Internet Mode, Support for Auto Configuration for all reports and the Restore Email Notifications to end users for Administrator initiated restores or Staging to alternate computer.
