Exchange and SQL questions Please Help

Hi all,
I have an Exchange Server running 2003 and an SQL server running SQL 2000.
The backup server is remote and connected via a 5Mb VPN.
I want to do file replication, exchange and sql databases.

I have looked into this but have a few questions.
I have read the Exchange Paper on the subject but it talks of setting up the cluster service before installing the Primary Exchange Server but my Primary Server is already up and running.
Can this be done after the Primary Exchange server is up and running ?.
Is there any information on how to do this ?

Or another way might be to see if I can get the exact same hardware and make a ghost image of the original server onto the Backup Server. Once this is up and running, ship it to the remote location.
Install a 2nd hard drive as the primary drive and install XP on to it.
Then boot up using XP and run Replication Exec and have Replication Exec put the replicated files into the same folders on the 2nd Hard Drive where the Server image is.

Can anyone see any issues with the 2nd option ?

Any other idea's for SQL or better ways to handle this job ?

Any help is appreciated.
