Does change of IP of DR HA Node required resync ?

ENVIRONMENT

Product = Infoscale Enterptise 7.0

OS = RHEL 7.0

TOTAL NODES = 2 at primary and one at dr site

QUERY = Does change of IP required resync ?

DETAILS

Currently Global Cluster is configured and layer-II is extended from primary to DR site. Client is going to change the DR site IP address / VLAN. We got the feedback in this regards from support and they give go ahead. We assume NO the replication does not required to resync. Please share advice or saftey prequations.

1- Does replication require to resync ? as per the below article not required.

2- Sure the replication can work between two different subnets/VLAN ?

Here you go the answer again.

A data resync is not required if the VVR is in normal working state amd if the IP is changed properly.

 

Recommend to run vradmin changeip command./  please refer to vradmin manpage foe the command syntax and attributes
