Hi,

I just want to know if I still need to do something with VVR before I reboot the primary server.

Thanks and appreciate any response.

No you do not, the primary and secondary(ies) will pick up where it left off.

wouldn't best practice be to pause the repication on that node?

Pause is not required. When you reboot the server, the RVG shuts down properly, the DG is deported updating info in the Replicator Log header ages with such stuff as state of volumes, last data written to disk, last write committed to dis on secondary (as known by primary). On start up, DG is imported, RVG starts up and continues with replication from last known committed write on secondary.
