I and many of my colleagues are catching our breath following Veritas’ first customer and partner event, Veritas Vision 2016, since establishing itself independent of Symantec. By all accounts it was a fun, informative and successful event with sessions by leading Veritas and external presenters on a range of topics related to information management. Among the presenters that attendees had the opportunity to hear from was Radhesh Balakrishnan (@radheshv3), Red Hat’s GM for OpenStack, who introduced OpenStack and discussed Red Hat’s contribution to the project. Red Hat is a leader in OpenStack and is collaborating with Veritas to address needs of business critical applications. During the event we announced HyperScale for OpenStack and Veritas Access both which draw on Veritas’ strong heritage in storage management and application resiliency which it is bringing to bear for OpenStack environments.
We are proud to showcase these products at the upcoming OpenStack Summit – if you are attending please stop by our booth (C7). You will have the opportunity to meet with our product experts and engineers to discuss how Veritas can help organizations with their OpenStack projects and receive up-close demos of the products. Senior Veritas engineers will also be presenting technical talks covering various aspects of storage and availability management – I will share more on that in a later post. In the meantime, here is a short video outlining how HyperScale helps applications perform their best. Finally, here is a link to the next post in this series.
