Can I Keep SFW Volumes After Rebuilding Server from Win2003 to 2008

HI,

apologies, but being a complete newbie I have very little understanding of Veritas SFW and it's usage.

I am using Storage Foundations 5.1 on Windows 2003 and was wondering whether it is possible to retain my Storage Volumes (file system drives) after a rebuild of a server.

I wish to rebuild the Win2003 server and make it Win 2008R2, and figured I could just deport the Dynamic Disks, re-install the SFW software after he installing win 2008R2  and import the disks. Et Voila my drives as if by magic re-appear.

Sounds like a plan?

Yes my French friend, that will work wink

I would suggest to remove the FC cables while you reinstall the OS + SFW(HA). Once done put them back.
