Hello,
I have copied an SQL Server database disk (It is a basic disk on a non veritas Windows Server 2008 host) via EVA Continues Access product. The copy disk is an independent disk now and I have presented it to a Storage Foundation installed Windows Server 2008 R2 host.
When I try to online the disk I get the following error:
V-76-58659-54: Failed to online disk.
I need to find a solution urgently.
Thanks,
Sukru

Have a look at this URL: https://sort.symantec.com/ecls/umi/V-76-58659-54
In what 'state' is the disk currently? Please post screenshot as well as the following from cmd (remember to right-click, Run As Administrator):
vxdisk list
vxdisk diskinfo <HardDiskName>
Please tell us more about HP EVA Continuous Access.
Is it a replication tool that maybe puts the target device into read-only mode?
I cannot see that SFW will be able to use disks/luns under control of such a tool.

Some more information about the source system and destination system of HP EVA Continues Acceess setup are below. we have copied a disk from the source system to the destination system via EVA CA. But we cannot make the disk online on the destination system. We have successfully make the disk online on a non Storage Foundation Windows Server 2008 R2 host. So the problem is apparently related with Storage Foundation.
Source system:
Windows Server 2008 (Microsoft HA Cluster)
SQL Server 2008
EVA4400
Destination system:
Windows Server 2008 R2 (Microsoft HA Cluster)
Storage Foundation 6.0
SQL Server 2008 R2
EVA P6300

What command are you using to online the disk?
I'm more familiar with unix than Windows but there should be a vxprint command. Could you please post the output for 'vxprint -h'?
