.

I need to upgrade from SF 4.3 to SF 5.1. In the previous setup there was no need for MPIO software.

No the customer is change for SAN setup with 2 HBA, I am using NetApp storage.

I Need to check if SF 5.1 will support multipathing or I need different MPIO software like NetApp MPIO.

If yes what is the license needed.

Thanks,

Amin Abu-Dosh

For 5.1 SP2, direct upgrades are supported as far back as 5.0 RP1a.

Here is a link to the Installation and Upgrade Guide for 5.1 SP2:

https://sort.symantec.com/public/documents/sfha/5.1sp2/windows/productguides/pdf/VCS_InstallUpgrade_51SP2.pdf

For upgrading from 4.3, you will probably find it easiest to just uninstall SFW and then install 5.1 SP2 fresh.

DMP comes with SFW, but you do need a DMP license for it.

Also, review the hardware compatibility list to make sure that your configuration is supported:

Can upgrade from SF 4.3 to 5.1 direct.
