Hi

I am having a setup of Veritas SFW for Windows 5.0 with trial license which I am installing on  Win 2003. When I proceed with the installation, and at license screen do not enter any license (for trial) and click Next Button, setup terminates abruptly.

Has anyone also came across such an issue.

Please Help

Thanks
Abhay

Hi abhayr,

This issue occurs when using an older version of SFW that has an expired imbeded key.
You will have to go through sales or licensing to get the demo key required for the product version you are using.

Hi Abhay,

Are there any popup messages?

Do you see any Error messages in the Event Logs? (i.e. Application or System Logs)

Are you logged in with a User Account that has Local Administrator permissions?

Please review the following document:

Hello Abhay,

To add to the information provided so far in the posts, should you need documentation on this issue, we have a Technote that customers can access through our Knowledge Base, which will provide you with the information posted above, including the link for our Customer Care folks.

I've updated the Technote a bit for you; however, you should be able to access the document at the following link:

Hello Abhay,

I also located a Technote that does contain temporary evaluation keys for the software, which may allow you to immediately complete the installation, without a call to Customer Care for the moment. Please try the link below. The versions may be different but the keys should still work.

Thanks everyone. The Issue described by David was the issue with my installer.

I redownloaded and solved the issue.

Thanks
