When installing on Windows Server 2008 R2 MCS the vxres.dll resource, one can:
so far so good
If you try however to make a NFS share, it uses a callback function from the nfsshex.dll to look for the dependency of the share path. If this is eg. g:\datag, the function looks for the resource type of the g:\ drive.
This drive will be recognised as a Veritas dynamic disk group, but not a storage class type ?!? of clusres.dll physical disk class; this causes the interface / cli to trap an error with the message:
Error 5002:

Hi Fdumarey,
The VMDg resources that are craeted are of type storage. If they were not then the resources would not appear in the storage container.
The problem is that the way Microsoft is doing their NFS shares, they are looking for phyisical disk resources only. Microsoft currently does not support NFS shares going on resources of type storage unless it is a phyiscal disk resource. The change in this behavior will need to come from Microsoft so that an NFS share can be hosted on any resource of type storage.
Thanks,
Wally.
