In a two node W2K8 R2 enterprise server we are running a SG which switches fine.
BUT. Regularly the mountpoint on the system which is inactive becomes unavailable. Which results in a backup failure.
Anyone have any suggestions?

We are using SFWHA 5.1 SP2 CP8. and backup local drives using Tivoli Storage Manager. For the SystemState backup (which is part of this backupcycle) the mountpoint should be accessable although it is empty when it is in inactive state. (ie. Mountpount is mounted on the other node)
btw since we changed the SCSI setting this did not occure anymore.

I found that on one node SCSI 2 while on the other ISCSI 3 was eneabled. May that create this issue?

I am battling to understand what you mean with this statement:
"Regularly the mountpoint on the system which is inactive becomes unavailable"
Why are you looking for the mountpoint on the inactive node?
How did you configure backup selection? Using mix of cluster and local drives? Node names or virtual hostname?
Backup cluster data using the Virtual hostname.
If you are using SCSI3 reservation, it must be enabled on both nodes.
Please let us know which version of SFW/HA you are using.and which make/model Storage Array.
It is exremely important that configuration is the same on both cluster nodes. If you provide more details, we can point you to relevant documentaion.
