A list of Packages?

Where can I get a list of packages that get installed as standard for the Veritas Storage Foundation Cluster File System Enterprise HA version 5.0.0, specifically for the X86 version... I cannae find anything to compare a jumpstart install I performed, where the user I did it for insists he's missing some apps.

Hello Edward,

Install guide for SFCFS 5.0 should list the packages that get installed (ofcourse depending on option you selected while install) under "Software Components" section...

You can get the install guide on Symantec knowledge base..

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/overview.jsp?pid=15107

Hope this helps..

Hi Guarav, and thank you for getting back to me. Unfortunately the guides still don't specify the packages for Foundation Suite Cluster File System HA... do you have the link to the correct document? and I'll try and pick out the right ones...

Hi Edward,

Check with this guide

http://sfdoccentral.symantec.com/sf/5.0/solaris/pdf/sfcfs_install.pdf

page no 10 should be of your interest...

Hi Edward,

./installsfcfs -help should give you a list of options you can run to see the different package lists. you can use:

The -installpkgs option is used to display all product packages in correct
installation order.

The -requiredpkgs option is used to display only required product packages
(excludes optional packages) in correct installation order.

Also, if you use 5.0MP3 instead of 5.0, it will generate a jumpstart script directly for you. There is a jumpstart_readme.txt file in the DVD root.
