If your hardware is NOT listed in the HCL, see the following:

Qualified hardware listed in the HCL is tested through the Symantec Technology Enabled Program (STEP). If you would like to have hardware considered for inclusion on this HCL, please contact your hardware partner to ensure they are a member of STEP and have submitted a request to have their product qualified with Storage Foundation.

Information on STEP is available at http://www.symantec.com/partners/programs/technology-partners/step.jsp

Hi,

Training paths can be found here:

For Storage Foundation:

http://www.symantec.com/training/training_paths/path.jsp?pathID=sf_50_unix

For Cluster Server:

http://www.symantec.com/training/training_paths/path.jsp?pathID=vcs_50_unix

I also sawi on web that Symantec is planning to launch exam for version 6.0 which would be available by Feb 2012.

http://www.symantec.com/training/certification/path.jsp?pathID=250-252

Have a detailed look on above links

Have you checked the Hardware Compatibility List(s)?

Start here: https://sort.symantec.com/documentation

Scroll down to Veritas Storage Foundation and High Availability, find the SF/HA version for your OS and click on the Compatibility lists link.

The HCL for SF/HA 6.0 can be found here: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH170013

Compatibility lists for SF/HA 5.1 SP1 can be found here: https://sort.symantec.com/documents/doc_details/sfha/5.1%20SP1/Linux/CompatibilityLists/
