Disk/ DG name missing

I have a question regarding  VG name.  One of the DG was missing and this DG had only one disk. When I looked at the disk list, DISK was missing too.  The reason DG is missing since it had only one disk and all the private and prublic info gone.  Am I right?

Hi,

Correct, if there was only 1 disk & it was lost, the DG will be gone as well.

Did you verify using "vxdisk -o alldgs list" ?  Also sometimes if accidently a dg is destroyed, still there may be a dgid on the disk (verify with vxdisk list <disk>)

Try running "vxdg import <dgid>", you may be lucky if disk was untouched.
