Hi, Not sure on your pervious post, can you put your query again here, do elaborate on the issue

is the volume getting controlled by VCS ? are there any other volumes in same DG or this is just one volume ? If there are other volumes, does this problem happen to other volumes as well ?

What is OS & SF version is use ?

Hi

what is the value of autostartvolumes in /etc/default/vxsf ?

You can tune this with vxdefault command

https://sort.symantec.com/public/documents/sfha/6.0/solaris/manualpages/html/man/volume_manager/html/man1m/vxdefault.1m.html

Your vfstab file is missing the 'yes' entry under 'Mount at boot'

You need to check and verify that disks are visible at OS level when the server is rebooted and that the diskgroup is imported when the system goes down.
Check that dg is not imported with -t option.

See this extract from vxdg man pages:  http://sfdoccentral.symantec.com/sf/5.0/aix/manpages/vxvm/vxdg_1m.html

Typically, an imported disk group is reimported automatically when the system is rebooted, if at least some of the disks in the disk group remain accessible and usable. This can be disabled using the -t option, which causes the import to be persistent only until the system is rebooted.
