I have a question related to the support for Oracle 11R2 (11.2.0.2) on SF 5.0:
- according "Veritas Storage Foundation for Oracle RAC and Veritas
Storage Foundation ClusterFile System for Oracle RAC
Support Matrix" (page 16) Oracle-RAC 11R2 (11.2.0.2)
is suported with SF 5.0 MP3 (RP4 and technote TECH145261)
on Solaris Sparc with Solaris 10
- according "Veritas Storage Foundation Database Support Matrix"
(page 8) Oracle 11gR2 11.2 (64-bit) is _not_ supported with
SF 5.0 MP3 on Solaris Sparc with Solaris 10
- if I take a look at "Veritas Storage Foundation
and High Availability Solutions - Read This First - Solaris 5.0
Maintenance Pack 3 Rolling Patch 5" (page 9) Oracle 11.2.0.2
is supported with 5.0 MP3/RP5
So from my point of view the support situation for 11R2 (11.2.0.2) RAC
and 11R2 (11.2.0.2) single instance is somewhat unclear (to me) -> which results
in the following questions:
- Oracle-RAC: is Oracle 11R2 (11.2.0.2) supported with
SF for Oracle-RAC 5.0 MP3/RP4 ?
- Oracle-Single-Instance: is Oracle 11R2 (11.2.0.2) supported with
SF 5.0 MP3/RP4 ?
- Oracle-Single-Instance: is Oracle 11R2 (11.2.0.2) supported with
SF-HA 5.0 MP3/RP4 ?
- Oracle-Single-Instance: can I use ODM with Oracle 11R2 (11.2.0.2) and
SF 5.0 MP3/RP4 ?
- any further restrictions - i.e. using ODM, using SFDB tools for Oracle - which
have to be considered ?
