Switch port Description scripts

I would like to know the how to assign the Description on each port (particular) with the help of scripts.

Right now i am doing through manually in Device Manager.Select the particuler port and adding description

How do i add through scripts,so if i run the script on switch that will refelect on each port description.

For Ex - abc server having 8 fibers abc (SP1) abc (SP1)
abc (SA1)
abc (SP2)
abc (SA2)

Hi Shekhar,

query is not very clear from product line standpoint .... what product are you referring ?

You are trying to assign a tag to the switch  port within the server ? & are you looking for how to achieve this using vxvm ? is that what you are trying to achieve ?
