deporting between 3.5 and 4.0

I've spent the day preparing for a move from an old Solaris server with v3.5 to a new Solaris cluster with v4.0. While deporting/importing a test diskgroup back and forth it always needs recovery and starting after having been imported. Now, running vxrecover is not a problem, and it seems to work fine. The question is: Is this normal when moving disk groups between Veritas systems with diffrent versions.

Can I feel confident that this won't destroy any data when I move the real diskgroups with customer data on?

Ok, figured it out. It's been to long since I deported disks between machines manually. This is as it should be, but if you fail DGs between with the cluster software it will take care of it.
