frustrating error while importing a shared, cloned disk group

hi all,

my setup as follows:

SFRAC 5.0 MP1 on HPUX 11i v2 PA-RISC
2-node cluster

I'm trying to import a diskgroup which is a clone (using EMC clone) from another cluster disk group on a seperate 2-node cluster.

i can see the disk group when i run
# vxdisk -o alldgs list
let's call it dgtest1.
the original dg name on the other 2-node cluster is dgsource

so when cloning dgsource, vx disk list on the cluster will list the name as (dgsource).
i want to import the dg with name dgtest1
i ran the following command:
# vxdg -C -s -n dgtest1 -o useclonedev=on -o updateid import dgsource
VxVM vxdg ERROR V-5-1-10978 Disk group dgsource: import failed:
Disk group has no valid configuration copies
I tried to use the command
# vxdisk <diskname> settag name=<name>
but it gives out an error that the operation needs to be done on the master, while I AM on the master.

what can be done ? any ideas will be useful
