Hi Team,
we have two Sparc Server running Solaris 10 with SunCluster 3.2, vxvm Veritas-5.0_MP3_RP4:2010-05-05.
If we try to connect with VEA, we can see only "actionagent" not "StorageAgent", and:
root@XXXXXXX # /opt/VRTSobc/pal33/bin/veainfo agent_info -a StorageAgent
VEA veainfo ERROR V-40-49443-176 Error in getting objects from the agent StorageAgent@XXXXXXX
Thanks
Bizio

Couple of more questions ..
1. Is agent not running or getting killed when started ?
what happens if you try to start it manually ?
# /etc/init.d/vxpal.StorageAgent start
Also are other two agents running,if not start them as well:
# /etc/init.d/vxpal.gridnode start
# /etc/init.d/vxpal.actionagent start
Have you checked the consistency of VRTSsvc package ?
As per technote below, VRTSsvc package have had issues with 5.0 version & because of which agents use to core dump ? do you see any core dump ? If yes, try below:

There are a couple of ideas around:
https://sort.symantec.com/ecls/umi/V-40-49443-176
Whenever you seen an error code staring with "V-" you can try it against
https://sort.symantec.com/ecls/umi/<insert error code here>
or just go to https://sort.symantec.com and try it in the search bar.
Not all error codes have suggestions, but many common ones do, and if there isn't, you can request one.

Hi Gaurav,
I restart StorageAgent: now I can see "StorageAgent" in Vea and the output of command veainfo agent_info is ok.
Thanks again
