How to freeze a system without evacuting Servive group?
It means the requirement is only to freeze the system not required to move the servive group.
Kindly reply urgently. Thanks..

"-persistent" and "-evacuate" are optional.
Using the -persistent option specifies that the system remains frozen after VCS has been stopped and restarted.
Using the -evacuate option specifies that all groups are switched before the system is frozen; if no other system is available for a service group, it is taken offline.

Hi,
Service Groups need not be evacuated in order to freeze a system. Already active/ONLINE service groups can continue even after freezing the system. Freezing a system prevents service groups from coming online on the system. Thus, no new Service Group can online/switchover/failover on the frozen system.
So, if the maintenance activity of the System is not going to affect already active/ONLINE service groups, you need not evacuate SGs.
Thanks & Regards,
