The 5.1 Veritas Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions Virtualization Guide had a section:
Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions support for Branded Zones
Each chapter in this guide presents information on using a particular Oraclevirtualization technology with Veritas products. These chapters follow:■ Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions support for Solaris Zones■ Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions support for Solaris Projects■ Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions support for Branded Zones
Veritas Storage Foundation and High Availability Virtualization Solutions includessupport for non-global and Branded zones, Projects, and Oracle VM Server forSPARC.
Solaris 8 and Solaris 9 branded zones are no longer supported for SFHAconfigurations in this release.

Hi Mike,
Your understanding is correct.
Solaris 8/9 branded zones are NOT supported in VCS 6.0 onwards.
VCS 6.0PR1 release added support for Solaris 11. 6.0PR1 does support solaris 10 brand zone on Solaris 11 system.
I will check the 6.0 docs and make any changes required.

I have now looked at 6.0 PR1 "Veritas Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions Virtualization Guide" and Solaris 10 branded zones are supported in Solaris 11, it looks as though situation is:
5.1 - VCS supports Solaris 8 and 9 branded zones
6.0 - VCS does not support ANY branded zones (and so 6.0 SFHA Virtualization Guide is wrong)
6.0 PR1 - VCS supports Solairs 10 branded zones
