BESR 2010 9.0.2 and SSD alignment

SSDs require alignment, or they suffer performance hits.  I am aware that a lot of backup and recovery software does not honor this.

Can anyone point me to info on if BESR 2010 recovery boot disk version 9.0.2 will properly align a bare metal restore from a platter hard drive to a solid state hard drive?

If by alignment you mean 4kB sector size instead of the common 512 byte size, BESR 2010 & SSR 2011 does not currently support such alignment. http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH143704 . Product development is looking into this, please go into the, 'Ideas,' section and vote to have this configuration be supported.
