I am restoring to new hardware from a old Dell 2600 running Windows SBS 2003 SP2 to a new Dell T110 no OS RAID1 Mirror Dell SAS 6/IR.
Recovery Options C;\ Drive
rezise drive to 150000MB
Restore MBR
Set Active for BOOT
Recovery Options D:\ Dirve
resize to 350000MB
Restore original disk signature
Also checked is restore anyware (restore to new hardware)
Restore will run without errors. I reboot the computer after restore is complete get the normal BIOS startup but when it's time to boot the OS I get nothing but a blinking cursor.
I have talked to three tiers of Symantec support (all of which had the same try this solutions but none have worked).
I have gone as far as loading a fresh install of Windows 2003 SBS SP2 on the server loading all the drivers and BESR 2010. Creating a custom SRD and running a restore from that. The only difference is that the restore wll not ask for any drivers.
Anyone with a suggestion will help I'm at the end of my rope with this one.
