BESR 2010, Intel ICH5R with LSI Driver doesn't find Drives

I have the following installation: Intel Entry Server Board SE7221BK1-E Intel E7221 chipset with ICH5R SATA - controller RAID-Bios and driver from LSI Logic Corporation. Driver MegaIDE.SYS - Version 4.2.0624.2005 If I try to load the Driver, the System Recovery CD tells me "Driver loaded successful” but the Drives won’t be shown… If I run the "Driver Validation", the SATA controller isn't shown as unknown. I suppose, the intel driver is loaded instead and so there is no acces to the LSI RAID arrays...

Have you tried to create a custom SRD disk and add the LSI driver ?

Yes I did, but without any effect.

I think it's because the VEN_8086&DEV_2652 is in the SYMDRIVERINFO.XML and the
IASTOR.SYS is automatically loaded first.

So maybe you could try and comment out the entry in the SYMDRIVERINFO.XML, to enable the SRD to find the "right" driver.

Good idea, but how can I edit a file on a bootable CD
without loosing the boot ability of the CD?
 
I don’t have the boot image (drive X: in SRD) to create a new one…

You then need to edit the WIM file using imagex and then create a bootable CD. If you were German I could send you a detailed step-by-step instruction.
