BESR 2010 server -- a question about the actual size of backup files

Hello everyone, I recently used BESR 2010 server (60-days trial) to carry out a fully disk backup for our server which is on win2003 SBS x32. The server has RAID1 system which is divided in to 3 partitions, c,d,e

C drive is system drive, 16.9GB occupied.
D and E drives are both storing sql database and some software, both 170GB occupied in total.

The backup files are created on to our external harddrive (1.5TB). But when I check the backup folder in which has 3 files, drive_c.v2i (8.9GB), drive_d.v2i (9.4GB), drive_e.v2i(9.7GB), the total occupation of three files is only 27GB ish. Does it mean that BESR 2010 can compress 170GB data to 27GB. Or is it something wrong with my BESR 2010 edition (may be the reason of trial version)? Or other reasons...???

We are currently using a backup exec 12.5 version which has a dreadfully slow speed to do backup, while the 2010 seems to have got improved huge a lot.

Please help.

Thanks

Which compression level have you selected when you created the backup job ?
