BESR Desktop edition slow loading

Starting BESR desktop recovery edition loads very slowly. The BESR screen pops up sits there for a minute or two then disappears. About 10-15 minutes later the porgram actually loads on the screen. I can't figure out what is making it so slow. Antivirus has been disabled and yet the problem exists.  Even ran the fixinstall.bat file and yet the problem remains. Anyone have any ideas?

Additional information: I ran the install from a network location on a separate workgroup from the two machines experiencing the issue. Could the program be searching for some network piece?

You might have to use some analysis tools like Process Monitor and WireShark to figure out what's going on. If it's trying to access something on the network that isn't available that would generally time out around 60 seconds and then I think it would finish loading.
