I have a few of our larger backups set to do a new recovery point ever month then incremental each day. What's been driving me nuts is why my 2008 server does these initial backups as a TON of 4gb files and my 2003 server does them as one large file. Whats the deal? I've scoured for settings on disabling a 'file size' but I swear I can see none. Does anyone have ideas? All I want is on file (whatever the size may be) and not 40 4 GB files. Help!
