I recently installed the trial version of Backup Exec System Recovery onto my server. About 2 hours after running the software to backup the system, the server starting beeping continously and would not boot. After some troubleshooting, I realized that the RAID had failed. After multiple attempts I was able to get the system to boot. The disks were verified for errors and there were no bad sectors. This is a very low-usage server that doesn't have much load at all and there has never been a problem before. Could BESR have being causing the RAID drives to fail? Probably not, but I would like to know what you think.
System Specs:
OS: Windows Server 2003 STandard
cpU: Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHZ
RAM: 4GB
thanks

I've never seen backup software damage RAID array. I think you have hardware problems there. On the other hand, I have seen when hooking in USB external hard drive as backup destinations have caused my server not to boot. Unplug them and presto, server boots again. Could be something simple like that.
