Hi,

The BESR job is failing with the following error:

(-- The job failed with the following error: The directory is invalid.

What could be the reason behind this error?

How can I solve it?

Regards,

More details required please:

  1. What version of BESR/SSR?
  2. What operating system?
  3. What type of backup (volume-level or file/folder backup)?
  4. What are you backing up to (i.e. USB drive, NAS, network share etc)?
  5. Please provide the exact error you are seeing (a screenshot would help)
  6. Does every backup fail with this error?

So does every backup fail with this error?

Has this ever worked?

You mention you are using DAS as your backup destination. Can you provide more details on this please.

Please confirm the exact version of BESR 2010 you have (check in Help/About for version details).

Can you provide the following log file:

C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Backup Exec System Recovery\Logs\Backup Exec System Recovery.log.txt
