Backing up Linux machines to NAS

Hi,

Customer wants to use VSR-L (VSR Linux Edition ver. 18) to backup two Linux machines (assume Linux OS supported in SCL) and store the backups to a NAS (no specific device or model mentioned). They want to know if there are any limitations, requirements on what NAS can be used to store backups taken from a Linux OS machine. Is there any? There's nothing mentioned about this in the user guides or SCL or any technote. Any feedback on this would be appreciated including if there are any recommended NAS vendors or models that should be used.

As far as I know, we don't recommend any specific NAS vendors or models.

As long as the NAS works with the version of Linux they are using, and VSR supports that version of Linux, it should work/be supported.
