Backup Exec System Recovery Linux, newer versions Redhat supported?

Hello,

According to the documentation, Backup Exec System Recovery Linux 2010 officially supports Redhat up to version 5.3. We use 5.4, and I already tested SRL with one of our servers without any problems. But will newer versions of Redhat be supported officially in the near future? Will a new version of Backup Exec System Server Linux come out anytime soon which officially supports newer versions of Redhat (5.4, 5.5, 6)?

Thanks in advance

Sjoerd

Sjoerd,

Yes, a new version of BESR Linux is being released in early April which will include support for Red Hat 5.4, 5.5 & 6.

Hope that helps.
