Backup fails everytime

Hi

I've a server with Backup Exec 6.5.3 (build 17983) installed on it,
when I try to create a backup job (or create a recovery point)
job runs one time and at the end it raise this error :

Error EC8F1780: Cannot successfully reconcile changes since last session. Error EC8F1781: Cannot retrieve saved drive properties. Default drive properties will be used instead. 0x80010105 (Backup Exec System Recovery)

after that and restarting of service it will be impossible to see computer
properities in console it will fail retrieving drive information.

I found out that there's a file for each job in /Agent/Histories directory inside
of Backup Exec Installation folder and if I delete that file and restart the service
everything will go fine for just another backup.

My system is W2K SP4 and it has two SCSI drives (no mirrors software or
hardware)

Thanks in advance

Reza,

Try opening a DOS window and go to C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec System Recovery and run the fixinstall.bat program. Then reboot.

Thanks,

I get the issue occasionally on different boxes, I just grin, uninstall keeping the job setups, reboot, reinstall, reboot.

It then works for another couple of weeks.

I am waiting for the next patch release
