I have installed this to test if the granular restore feature actually works or not. So far no luck. Has anyone made this work yet?
I have installed the 2010 version on a 2008 server with exchange 2007. I have created a complete restore point. I have installed outlook 2007 on the server.
When I try to do a restore using the granular option I can see the first storage group, email accounts, and all emails. However I can do nothing with but look at them. I have tried each of the features. restore message, forward message, and restore folder. All fail. The forward message option does send an email but from what I understand that email should have an attachment of the email to be recovered. The other two just fail to create the two different files. Am I missing something like a permissions. I am using the Administrator account. I have also tried it using my own account which has Domain Admin rights.
