Yes i just now stopped the BESR service

Then i started with a new backup job

Advanced -> Backup jobs

I rightclick my backupjob and choose "Backup with options"

"New recovery point set"

This solved my issue.

Yaa,

in the document said it is falsely interpreting that backup still running, but in my case it showing running an when i checked with the destination drive it is really not backed up. what could be the problem?

I would look into the following technote to learn more about this situation and the next steps you should do:

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH58871

Thanks

I found out that it often becomes like this when something has happend so that besr wants to verify all the incremental recovery points. That usualy results in that the backup process locks and dont progress.

I usually cancel the work by stopping the service. (the only way that works for me)

Then i start a new backup with

Advanced -> Backup jobs

I rightclick my backupjob and choose "Backup with options"

"New recovery point set"

When creating a new recoverypointset besr don't have to verify old backups.
