Hi, a customer wants to backup a VMware Virtual Machine (Windows Server 2016) that has two drives where one drive is an RDM (raw device mapping drive). Can System Recovery backup a VM that is configured with an RDM drive? Any special consideration required?

Thanks!

With System Recovery, there is no way to backup a virtual machine on ESXi at the host level (like you can with Backup Exec).

So, backups are done from inside the VM, like any other server. In this case, if the drive is presented in Windows as if it's local, then backups should be fine and nothing to consider here.
