Computer name alternates between small and capital letters

In our SSR 2013 SP2 management console, usually all computer names are spelled with capital letters, which is consistent with the names in our AD. Just for a few computers, the letters are small. When we open the organizational view in the management console and show the properties of one of these computers we see that the letters alternate in time between small and capital letters, for example from COMPUTER01A2 to computer01a2 and back and forth. The modification times are always about +/- about 5 minutes. All affected clients change to capital letters at 3:40 evrery day and back to small letters at a later time, for example at 10:28 every day. The user who performs this action (Modify) is always the local admin acount under which the management console has been installed.

Although this behaviviour does not seem to prevent the successful creation fo backups, some users are bothered by the fact that some of the backup folders use small letters instead of capital letters.

Any idea what could be the cause for this behaviour and how we could prevent this from happening?
