Creating a new backup unit is not avaiable

Hello everybody,

creating a new backup unit is not avaiable in my BESR8.5.

When I try do create an new one, i'm getting the information that there already is one backup job that is configured as backup unit.

But no other backup job is configured. What can i do to tell BESR 8.5 that no other backup is configured?

Greetings

Marcel

Hallo Markus,

%Alluserprofile%\Application Data\Symantec\

Try to delete the *.PQJ Files in the %Alluserprofile%\Application Data\Symantec\Backup Exec System Recovery\SChedule folder.

I did it,

unfortunately i didn't solve the problem.

In addition i realized that i could create an new backup unit for one of the 3 partitions i want to backup.

Can you post  screenshoots of the relevant sections of the BESR console and the error message you receive ?

Hello Markus,

in the attachment you're finding the screen where I normally should choose the backup unit and not the independent restore point.

After deleting the *pqj files as you mentioned in your first post i restarted the services.

Is there a place in the registry where backup sets of each partition are noticed in?

In the Backuplog you can see a lot of old jobs which are pointing to an old target (hardware failure). Maybe there's the problem that BESR thinks these backup's are still active?

Greetings Marcel
