Error during my backup

Hi,

I'm facing a problem with a computer running W7 64bits enterprise. The backup wont start.

The error occured :

Erreur EC8F17B7 : Impossible de créer des points de récupération pour l'opération : Sauvegarde du lecteur de BDEDrive (*:\), OSDisk (C:\).

                Avertissement AC8F1FCC. Le type d'erreurs détectées indique que ce disque dur est bientôt défaillant. Un remplacement prompt de cette unité est vivement conseillé. Pour ignorer cette erreur et sauvegarder cette unité, sélectionnez "Ignorer les secteurs défectueux lors de la copie" depuis les options avancées de l'Assistant Sauvegarder l'unité.

Avertissement A7C30019. Le type d'erreurs rencontrées indique que ce lecteur de disque dur est sur le point de tomber en panne. Il est conseillé de remplacer ce lecteur le plus rapidement possible. Pour ignorer cette erreur et sauvegarder ce lecteur, sélectionnez l'option permettant d'ignorer les secteurs défectueux. (UMI:V-281-3215-6071)

The EC8F17B7 says that he can't create a recovery point

AC8F1FCC and A7C30019 say that the hard drive has a problem and suggest me to change it or check the option "ignore bad sectors during copy"

I tried to check this option but the backup blocks at 5 %;..

try running checkdisk on the volume.

A simple "chkdsk" returned no error.

Hi ,

I am impressed with SSR , it gave a clear message of hard - drive failure, thus I am afraid may have to change the internal drive and retry a backup.

Also a chkdsk /r /f will surely clean up the bad errors on the disk or indicate the bad errors,

It's a production computer, I can't run a full chkdsk at any time, it's a long process.

I will try it as soon as possible and I'll let you know.

You may have to possible try a downtime quikly. You mentioned it's W7 64 bit that means it's Win 7 , and it is a production mahine , no downtime ? why will it require downtime?

No downtime possible for the moment. This machine must control pieces 24/24.
