I have Ghost 10 on an external drive attched to an old Windows 2000 computer. The computer failed due to some swollen capacitors. I have a new laptop using Windows XP. I wish to recover some files from the Ghost image on the external drive to my new laptop. Is it possible? If so, would I first install Ghost 10 (I have the installation disc) on the new laptop and then connect the external hard drive to a USB port on the laptop? If I get this far, what would I do next? Would the move from Windows 2000 to XP invalidate the whole procedure? As you can probably tell, I am a novice at this.
