We are running with Symantec System Recovery Management Solution 2013 which is running on top of SMP 7.1 SP2 MP1.
My question is, how can I upgrade the version of SMP 7.1 to the latest rollup so that the management agent deployed to the client includes the latest version.
I've looked under the Symantec Installation Manager tool but the only update it lists is the SMP 7.5 which I am sure will not work with SSR 2013.

SMP 7.5 is not supported yet: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH211862.
Support for 7.5 will be added when we release SSR 2013 R2 later this year. Hope this helps.

I guess I should have asked, is it recommended to install the latest SMP rollup for use with SSR 2013 Management Solution? Should it be available via the Symantec Installation Manager?

I'm fairly sure there is no problem installing this rollup with the SSR Management Solution. However, let me double check on this and get back to you ...

I've had it confirmed that latest rollup is supported with SSR-MS 2013.
